We are cycling tragics. We have been riding, racing, working with, and restoring bicycles for more than 40 years. We have literally lucked out with Podere Il Casino as we now live in cycling nirvana.
We live where L'Eroica was born, but even though we love to ride older steel bikes we mainly use contemporary carbon bikes.
We love our white roads. We love the tradition of cycling that exists here, not only from a 'drop in and ride' perspective, but from the interrelationship between the bike and the Territorio.
Simply put there is absolutely no better way to explore the area than by bike. All modes of bikes, in all seasons.
PROGRAM AND EVENTS
We organise cycling stays to help you get the most out of your time in Tuscany. You can ride with us or we will tailor a program to suit your group. Bring your own or we have quality bikes available to rent.
Based on experience we think an ideal group size is no more than six people.
As a starter we have four day riding programs which can include entry to key local events throughout the year. The events include:

L'Eroica Buonconvento
Summer
L'Eroica Montalcino
Granfondo Chianti Classic
Autumn
Gallo Nero Gran Fondo
L'Eroica Gaiole In Chianti

The Programmes can range in distances from gentler 60km rides to monster days of 180+km partially on the famous white roads.
These programmes would typically include an additional day for your arrival and departure, but depending on logistics we could hit the road on these days.
Typically a four day riding stay involves:
Day 0 Arrival and gear check
Day 1 Welcome to Chianti 60-80km
Day 2 Expanding the territory 60-100km
Day 3 The Big One 80km-180km This day could be replaced with one of the events.
Day 4 The Recap 60-80km
Day 5 Departure
Breakfast and lunch is provided at Podere il Casino, on the road or at one of our many excellent local restaurants. We will discuss dinner arrangements to suit your preferences.
Longer stays can also be designed depending on your ambitions.
We like to provide a broad cycling experience including road, classic and gravel rides but we will work with you to design an itinerary for your group
LE STRADE BIANCHE
The Strade Bianche (white roads) are part of the story of Toscana. They were once the major connectors between the primary cities. Built using progressively finer aggregates of travertine and limestone they remain a significant element in how the landscape is seen and read.

In addition to the events schedule we offer tours that include a component of the Strade Bianche. Trust us you will enjoy them.
ROLLING IN CHIANTI
Graham is our ride specialist. He has ridden, raced and led groups on these roads for the last 20 years. He is Australian but speaks Italian with a Tuscan accent and calls this part of Italy his home.
